CDG Group has collaborated with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) in addressing deforestation. This collaboration involves the analysis of aerial photography maps of Thailand from 1952 to 1999 to track changes in forest areas and verify land rights, ensuring the establishment of accurate forest boundaries in compliance with the law. Various data sources are integrated to create comprehensive forest resource boundaries that align with the designated legal forest zone. The data collection encompasses both state and private land, including state-owned land, land under the jurisdiction of the Agricultural Land Reform Office, land settlement cooperatives, self-help land settlements, and privately-owned land. Furthermore, CDG Group has cooperated with local authorities to gather information and facts related to the legally declared forest zone. This information has been shared with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for further implementation of policies.
