Project to Acquire 1:4,000 Scale Base Map Data and Install Geographic Information System Software, National Telecom Public Company Limited

BY esri, gisc

CDG Group has been entrusted by the National Telecommunications Company Limited (Public Company) to procure 1:4,000 scale base map data, including village positions, building locations covering the entire country, road network data, and the transformation and import of data from the National Telecommunications Company Limited (Public Company). Additionally, the group will install a geographic information system software to provide data dissemination services through a website for internal and external organizations.

GIS System Development for Broadcasting GIS, the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC)

BY esri, gisc

CDG Group, together with the NBTC, has created a state-of-the-art Broadcasting Geographic Information System (Broadcasting GIS) for advanced network services in unlicensed broadcasting and television operations. Compliant with NBTC regulations, it handles .kmz data and offers features like data import for authorized operations, change notifications, survey analysis, network assessment, and coverage analysis for experimental licensed broadcasting and radio stations, including airspace interference prevention.

Map Service for Electricity Transmission System and Area Management, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)

BY esri, gisc

CDG Group, in partnership with EGAT, has developed a comprehensive system for map data provision and management of the transmission and high-voltage power network. This system handles power transmission, spatial management, and land rights and property management within the high-voltage infrastructure. It also manages data related to power generation assets, government agencies, private sectors, and the public interacting with high-voltage transmission lines. The geographic information system stores data on high-voltage power stations, right-of-way (ROW) areas, power pole locations, transmission line routes, forests, transportation routes, water boundaries, land plots, land valuation, and other property details, including aerial and satellite imagery. Surveys and data collection are conducted at 1:50,000 and 1:4,000 scales, depending on the application. The high-voltage power geographic information system is extensively used across the organization, encompassing headquarters, operational divisions, and nationwide power stations. Accessible via web and mobile applications, an organization-wide geographic information system (EGAT GIS Portal) provides centralized map services. It facilitates planning, decision-making, design, construction, maintenance, and power system service provision. Additionally, it enables the creation of maps and reports for crucial data types, serving management, engineers, and general users. GIS plays a vital role in streamlining data recording and surveying. It covers a wide range of data, including power infrastructure like poles and lines, land plots, trees, buildings, and internal high-voltage power network information. It also incorporates property ownership records, valuation, and replacement costs. Leveraging digital orthophotos from LiDAR technology, it facilitates diverse data categorization and surveying, notably for detecting right-of-way encroachments and assessing power line sag distances. This system identifies maintenance areas and conserves the high-voltage power system while enabling the creation of new transmission routes from domestic and international power sources.

GIS/AM/FM System, Metropolitan Electricity Authority

BY esri, gisc

CDG Group, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, has revolutionized the electricity sector with their cutting-edge GIS/AM/FM application software, creating a robust public utility database system. We have implemented detailed electricity distribution and base maps at 1:1,000 scale in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan. By gathering field data, aerial imagery, and information from multiple sources, we have leveraged the power of ArcGIS to store and utilize this data effectively. The exceptional work earned the Metropolitan Electricity Authority the prestigious Outstanding Data Management and Service Project Award in 2000. Furthermore, ArcGIS applications have been developed for Desktop, Web, and Mobile platforms, seamlessly integrating with ERP (SAP), Smart Metro GRID, and SCAA systems. This integration has resulted in enhanced efficiency, seamless operations, and improved performance across the board. In addition, we have developed GIS Net, a web service-based data access platform that offers map services to external agencies and serves as a marketplace for purchasing paper and digital maps. Our enhancements include various communication infrastructure data within the GIS system, such as the Geographic Information System for Fiber Optic Project Management, serving the Operations and Communications Department and the Geographic Information System Department. This integration enables the incorporation of communication line data from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority and other service providers leasing space on power poles. By leveraging mapping and geographic technology, organizations can seize telecom business opportunities and enhance operational efficiency. Our technology facilitates policy and operational data analysis, supports staff, streamlines daily tasks, and delivers public services. The companies have developed the following service platforms: MEA Smart Life Application: A comprehensive public service platform that enhances convenience and speed for citizens. It allows users to check and track electricity usage, report power outages, and make electricity payments through agents using barcodes or QR codes. Users can also view their electricity usage history and payment locations. The platform provides news and announcements, such as notifications of scheduled power outages for system improvements. MEA FFM System: A management system for handling and resolving electricity issues. It can receive incident reports through various channels, including MEA Smart Life, Line MEA Connect, and the MEA Call Center. The system can analyze and identify problematic devices, incorporating data from the electricity public utility database and the ArcGIS Platform software. This integration enhances decision-making, preparedness, and efficient problem-solving. MEA E-Fix Application: A platform for electrical system installation and consultation services provided by a team of experts. It offers immediate and convenient assistance to service users. Users can select electrical system installation services from standardized electricians under the control of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. This service covers the areas of Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan.

GIS System (AM/FM/GIS), Provincial Electricity Authority

BY esri, gisc

CDG Group, in collaboration with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), has developed a Geographic Information System (AM/FM/GIS) for the electrical industry. This includes the creation of communication system maps and application programs for various units, such as head offices, regional electricity offices, provincial electricity offices, district electricity offices, branch electricity offices, and sub-branch electricity offices. The company's responsibilities involve conducting surveys and collecting accurate nationwide electrical system data at a 1:4,000 scale, covering transmission lines, power stations, high and low voltage distribution systems, and over 16 million electricity meter users across the country. Additionally, the implementation of a Site License Geographic Information System (GIS) software and the establishment of a Publication Database enhance organizational efficiency in public services, planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the electrical system, while also generating comprehensive reports for management, engineers, and general users. Furthermore, the company has developed the Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) application in conjunction with the implementation of a vehicle tracking system and navigation devices. This integrated solution effectively manages and resolves electrical issues promptly and with maximum efficiency. The system allows real-time tracking of vehicles, displaying their locations, statuses, and sending notifications, while also generating comprehensive reports on vehicle usage.
